Moving along

Life's just moving right along isn't it.

Time flies when you're having fun? My first weeks of schools pretty much over. It went by so fast, isn't that an interesting statement in and of itself. Time doesn't change, it just felt fast. Hm.... such interesting topics in life.

Anyways... too many interviews...

Taking the First Step

So after all this reading and learning, isn't it time to take the first step? That's a bit of an exageration. I have done many things to improve my life, but I'd like to say today is my first step.

I'm going to read much more, classics, personal development books, good articles online, anything and everything.

I'm going to cut out TV for the most part. Maybe a little sportscenter a day.

I'm going to keep exercising and eating healty.

I'm going to continue to improve my life by doing the things I want to learn and do (i.e. cooking).

Let's have some fun.

Simplify Simplify Simplify

I have signed up to many many newsletters and feeds. But I found that it's so much easier to only subscribe to the best that really resound with you. It avoids all the clutter in the inbox and lets you ready the article in its entirety rather than just skimming it (although you can do that anyways). There is so much great material on the internet, but we can't spend all the time reading it. We should take it and do things with it too... like writing your own blog, or writing in general or doing things that help you become a better person. I mean that is the goal isn't it?

Question

If I like my last post, do I avoid writing a new one even though I want to? This way more people may not see my next post but new content is written. I'm curious as to what others experience is with this.

A thought: The point of this blog... Blog therapy

At first, I wanted this blog to be an advice blog and eventually I got lured into the idea of making money from this blog. Just like sites like , which makes over 6 figures a year.

Then I started to write in the style that I like. Somewhat free writing, somewhat about just what's going on with me. And I realized, I'm young and I don't know how much advice I could actually provide. So I liked just writing, and if I find something that entertains me or makes me happy or has a big impact in my life, I put it here. I think that will be the aim of the blog from now on. Maybe eventually, I'll learn how to put advertisements or other money things but that should never be the point of this. Writing is so therapeutic.

So here's something I found that I like a lot.

So let's all enjoy our own blog therapy!

My layaway

It's been a while. And suddenly I have 35 subscribers? I guess Evolving Times is really popular!

Welcome to the new subscribers and thank you.

I've been busy this winter break. I am applying to MD/PhD programs after this year. So there's been a lot of interviews and flying and traveling.

I realized it's nice being home. I like taking advantage of the little things. Your own bed, your own computer, and good old fashioned home cooking.

What do you have that you often don't realize how lucky you are to have? Gratitude is one of the most powerful things. http://gratitude-magic.com/ is a great site on this topic.

Free writing

Have you ever free formed wrote? I suggest you try it, it feels so good and lets you sort of see where your mind is.

Take 5 or 10 or 15 minutes, whatever feels good for you and just write. Write anything about anyting/anyone/anywhere. Just write. Don't care about grammar, remember that no one else is going to read it or judge it and keep writing. Go for the full time you set out.

Take a minute when you're done. Say thanks. And doesn't that feel good?

And that's what this is all about :)

My Vision Board

I decided to repost my vision board because of this Evolving Times post. It's the complete one I've had on my desktop for about 3 weeks now. I love sharing anything about the Law of Attraction. This is one of my favorite sites regarding personal development. And I've gone through a lot. I really want to thank Edward for having this wonderful site.

Without further ado...
Here it is!

9 degrees, feels like -6 degrees....

It is so cold! I could not even believe it. It's been so much fun though, when I go home I will have so much free time. I'm not even sure what I'll do with it.

The law of attraction so very works. I can see the benefits everyday. I'm so happy right now, warming up and happy :)

Much love
Brian
